Hands down, Happy Feet Stable and Kennel is the best! Jen takes amazing care of her animals! The horses and dogs look and act happy there because they are! She has the heart of a teacher, teaching both humans and animals. Our family has been taking horse riding lessons for 15 years! My daughter started riding at a very young age and with Jen’s coaching, has advanced to collegiate riding. I started at the ripe age of 40+. Jen can teach any age group or skill level. Our dog also receives grooming services with Jen and comes home looking amazing! The best part about her training is that it is fair to the animal and person. She never teaches beyond you or your animal’s abilities, yet empowers you to grow.

My brothers and I took riding lessons from Jen for 13 years. Jen was not only an amazingly patient and enthusiastic teacher, but she was also a mentor who helped me grow into the person I am today. Her energy and laugh are infectious, and her praise and encouragement make you feel like you've accomplished something at the end of each lesson. She is also an incredibly talented trainer who has helped many students to show competitively at the state level and helped me to train a horse of my own. Happy Feet Stable doesn't just offer quality services, it's the kind of place where you can form a lifelong bond with another animal, and your kid can learn lifelong values like responsibility, self-confidence, teamwork, and respect. She treats her students and her animals like her own children. You, your kids and your animals are in great hands with Jen!
Photos from the barn and horse shows we attended with Jen, including the state 4-H horse show which she helped me to achieve twice. Thanks for all the great memories!

My daughter Cora started taking lessons with Jen when she was five. She immediately fell in love with riding and probably even more so with Jen! Jen puts safety first and I always felt my daughter was in the best hands. However, what I love most about Jen is how she adapts to your child and not only builds their riding skill but their overall confidence. Unfortunately, we moved two years ago when Cora was 10 and decided the drive was just too far. We tried another trainer closer to our new home and had a horrible experience. My daughter lost her love for riding and asked to quit. I asked her if I found a way to get her back to Jen would she want to ride. Her whole face lit up and she said ABSOLUTELY! So that was that and we now make the drive to get her there! Worth every mile to see her love for riding and the confidence that she had lost come back! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jen!!! She’s just the best!
My 10-year-old daughter has been taking riding lessons at Happy Feet Stable for 3 years now. She never really had an interest in riding horses before we started lessons, but was asked by a friend to try it with her. She fell in love immediately. Jen, the horses, and the other students have made this experience so special for her. Jen is so knowledgeable, patient, and kind and my daughter can’t wait until her next lesson every time. She has learned how to walk, trot, canter, and care for the horses. Jen encourages her to push herself out of her comfort zone and be firm with her commands to get the horses to perform what she wants. I’m excited to see how my daughter's journey with Jen and Happy Feet Stable continues to grow.

I have leased horses, boarded horses, and taken riding lessons at Happy Feet Stable & Kennel. Jen shows so much compassion for what she does in all ways. Not only is she an amazing human being, but she is also a fantastic trainer. There was never a day that I didn't learn something about my riding or something about myself every time I was with her. Jen reaches riders with the values of confidence, hard work, and dedication. She taught me how to be a better rider and a better person. What she has taught me will stick with me forever.

You will not meet anyone like Jen. She has truly changed my life in so many ways, not only as a rider but as a person. I met Jen three years ago, I was a shy little 8th grader that had just moved to Willmar. Through Jen, I’ve learned to become confident, use my voice, determination, and so much more. Without Jen, I would not be the person I am today. Starting as an older riding student is definitely challenging, but Jen does everything she can to get me to the level I want to ride at. She pushes me everyday that I am out there and has shown me what it means to have determination and trust the process. Happy Feet has truly become my happy place!
In two short years of being in her program, I was able to qualify for the Minnesota State 4H Horse Show. She did everything in her power to help me reach that goal. She always has new ideas to push me out of comfort zone, provide new opportunities, and help me become a better rider. She took me in and we have never looked back. I found what I love to do most, thanks to Jen. She is very knowledgeable in both horses and dogs. Jen is a mentor, my motivator, and most of all my second family.
She also allowed me the opportunity to show her male Australian Shepard, Augi. We were county champions is rally and showmanship, along with reserve champions in obedience. We then qualified for state where we were reserve state champions in rally. Jen’s dogs are the smartest and well behaved dogs I have ever met. It has been a pleasure showing Augi and I cannot wait to see what he can do next year!
She has provided countless volunteer opportunities on and off the farm. Every animal that comes to Jen’s, she treats like her own. I would not want my pups going anywhere else. She truly loves what she does and you can feel that the second you step foot on Happy Feet.
I highly recommend Happy Feet Kennel & Stables! Jen has a true passion for what she does and that is so evident!

Sophia has been taking riding lessons for two years now from Jen. Going to Jen's is the highlight of her week. She adores Jen and absolutely loves the horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. Sophia has learned so much in the past two years from Jen. She has become a more confident, skilled rider, but even more so, has learned patience, kindness, and responsibility. My daughter is a better person because of the time that she shares with Jen.

When talking about the work, Jen does for her riding students, I do not even know where to begin. From her patience, kindness, great knowledge, and ability to see the greatness in each, and every student, she’s nothing short of one impactful teacher. I started with Jen when I was four years old taking lessons. From then on, I grew into her program and learned everything I know about horses and riding to this day. She has not only been a great teacher, but also one of my closest friends. She has helped me get through many hard years and kept my passion for riding and competing alive, but also guided me through these hard times through the work we did with the horses. As I progressed into her riding program, there would be times that I was ready for a new horse with different challenges that could teach me something new. Jen always had the perfect horse to continue my growth in ability and knowledge. The skills that she has taught me I truly believe would not have learned without her and her horses. Jen’s program taught me accountability, responsibility, trust, courage, faith, and true grit. Despite into my life now, and I cannot think her enough for it.
15 years later, I still spend every summer at her place, learning more and more about horses and expanding my skills. I am now a sophomore in college currently attending the University of Minnesota-Crookston and thanks to the unwavering commitment and faith she put into me for all of these years. I am able to live my greatest dream I’ve ever had. I was recruited to UMC in 2020 on athletic scholarship to ride for their women’s western reining and horsemanship NCEA and IHSA Equestrian team. We travel nationally competing against the best D1 schools in the country. From Delaware to California, we go everywhere.
Without Jen, and all of her hard-working face, she put into me, I wouldn’t have been so fortunate to have this opportunity to ride in college let alone have the confidence in myself to pursue such a big dream of mine, and believe that I can do anything I put my mind to.
For anyone thinking about checking out Happy Feet Sable, I can assure you that you would be receiving the best education the first time in support of your riding experience!
